The launch of the next-gen consoles has our heads rolling all over the place. With high-performing hardware and a series of exclusive titles, the next-gen consoles have redefined the gaming era. The DualSense controller introduced with the PlayStation 5 is already making news and we may soon have another high-end controller for Sony’s PlayStation 5.

According to sources, there is an alleged patent that indicates a new PSVR headset is in development for the PlayStation 5. The leaked sources indicate that the potential PS5 design for the headset would add LED lighting and haptic feedback. The features are already available in the DualSense controller and we have seen how amazing the effects are.

We have also seen another patent from Sony for a one-handed controller with one analog stick. And the leaked PSVR headset means that Sony is planning to add some new and exciting features to its PS5 controllers. For users who cannot wait till Sony finishes with its new product can purchase the PSVR headset currently available in the market with the PS5. Sony also offers a free PlayStation Camera adaptor to allow current PSVR owners to use their headset and camera along with the new system.

“The PlayStation Camera adaptor is used to connect the PlayStation®Camera* (sold for the PlayStation®4 console) to a PlayStation®5 console. This allows the use of PlayStation®VR when playing supported PS4™ games on a PS5™ console, including games that require PlayStation®Move or PlayStation®VR aim controllers. The new HD camera for PS5 is not compatible with PS VR. You will need to use the PS Camera (for PS4) with a PlayStation Camera adaptor (no purchase required) to use PS VR on PS5.”

We know that Sony has two patents ready for the upcoming PS5 accessories. It would be interesting to see what new flavors the manufacturer will bring to its already existing technology.
