Sony brings new AR app to help customers to select proper TV Model

Sony designs a new app called Envision TV AR to help its customers to select the exact TV model they need. This new app uses the smartphone’s augmented-reality feature to check whether the user-selected model fits in the home place or not.

Due to the present pandemic condition, people can’t go outside of their homes, other than essential purposes. And buying a TV doesn’t come under this category. But if they need one, they can’t go to the shop for selecting the proper one.

Sony just tried to serve a solution, so that its customers can order a TV model with the exact size they need. To get this facility, obviously, the customers need to have an AR-enabled smartphone.

Envision TV AR is very much handy for all kinds of users. You just need to select a Sony TV model, then move your phone camera to the area or part of your room where you planned to keep it. The app will measure whether the model size fits in your reserved area or not. Besides, it also can provide other important details like ports, per SKU support.

Mike Fasulo, the president, and chief operating officer of Sony Electronics North America said, “As we continue to stay home, this app offers a new way for our customers to confidently purchase a Sony TV in the comfort of their living rooms. We hope this new technology takes the guesswork out of shopping online.”

This new app is available for both Android and iOS platforms. Customers, interested, can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play.
