Smart TV prices can come down soon as per Reports OnePlus TV

OnePlus TV 40Y1

The increase in liquid crystal display (LCD) TV panel prices that started last year due to which Smart TV prices also increased has slowed down in July this year, and now news are coming that the Smart TV prices can go down after Q3 2021.

From last many months we have witnessed huge prices hikes in Smart TV market. All this started when Xiaomi, which is known for selling low-margin devices in global markets and currently leads the smart TV market in the country, increased its TV prices by over 11 percent in the month of January.

Realme also silently hiked the prices of its TVs by up to over 15 percent a few weeks back. OnePlus, on the other hand, recently increased the pricing of its smart TVs by nearly seven percent. The increase in the pricing wasn’t only a trend among Chinese players as Noida-based Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd (SPPL), an exclusive brand licensee for Thomson and Kodak TVs, also raised the prices of some of its models by 15 percent.

But, now it seems that all is going to change soon as per a Report by Omedia. According to the research firm, the price of LCD TV panels has started declining from Q3 2021. This trend is forecasted to continue in the second half of 2021.

The main reason of this development is the competition among the television manufacturers, the widening gap in profitability between Chinese and South Korean television manufacturers, and strong bargaining power. Since the supply chain has now become hard to predict, OEMs need competitive strategies to make use of the situation.

Well we don’t have the proper information that this is going to be true, but we can just hope for the best. If this is going to be happen then we will see the results in the last quarter of 2021 but till then we can just wait.
