He is also praised by opponent players and managers as well.

Now former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson joined the 23-year-old in his mission. Ferguson is set to pledge up to £2million towards the ‘FareShare’ charity. Marcus Rashford announced that on his Twitter handle.

Ferguson told The Times, “You have to be shocked at the number of people in need of food. Marcus has opened the eyes of everyone in Britain. The work he’s done has been fantastic and we’re all so proud of him because of that.”

“Footballers in Britain are certainly high profile. There’s no reason why they can’t use that profile in a good way.”

“What Marcus has done is he’s led the way in a big way that, hopefully, people from the same position that Marcus is in today, as a successful footballer, can join in and support this great campaign of the moment.”

“He’s led the way — people will say, ‘That boy he’s only 23’. People in their later ages…should be saying, ‘I can do something’.”- he added while praising the Manchester United young man.
