The Standout Contestants You Need to Know
Kim Min-ji arrives with serious athletic credentials, having competed on multiple Korean sports survival shows including SBS’ Goalies and TV Chosun’s Survival King: Tribe Wars. The 29-year-old track star studied Physical Education at Changwon National University and isn’t afraid of competition—on or off the track.
Kim Go-eun made headlines even before stepping onto Inferno Island. As the daughter of former national footballer Kim Hyun-soo, she finished second runner-up at Miss Korea 2022. The 25-year-old model briefly sparked dating rumors with G-Dragon after they were spotted together at an Osaka football match, though his agency clarified they were merely acquaintances.
Mina Sue Choi brings international pageant prestige to the cast. Born in Sydney and raised in Korea, the 26-year-old University of Illinois student made history in 2022 as South Korea’s first Miss Earth winner—also the nation’s first victor in any Big Four beauty pageant.
Lim Sung-jin enters the show as the most followed contestant with over one million Instagram followers already. The 27-year-old volleyball outside hitter plays for Uijeongbu KB Insurance Stars and graduated from Sungkyunkwan University. His athletic prowess and massive fanbase make him one to watch.
Kim Ji-han, though unconfirmed by production, appears linked to the cast. The 26-year-old outside hitter for Seoul Woori Card Woori Won previously appeared on Physical: 100 season 1, proving his competitive edge extends beyond the volleyball court.
Danny Koo brings artistic flair to the island at 34, making him the oldest contestant. The Chicago-born violinist and singer performs with Ensemble DITTO, competed on SuperBand 2, and has taught at prestigious institutions including the New England Conservatory Prep and Royal Academy of Music. He’s also delivered two TED talks on classical music.
What Makes This Season Special
The show maintains its signature format: singles arrive on a deserted island, complete challenges, and form pairs to escape to “Paradise” for romantic one-on-one dates. The returning panel—model Hong Jin-kyung, actor Lee Da-hee, Super Junior’s Kyu-hyun, rapper Han-hae, and YouTuber Dex—will provide commentary throughout the season.
