P V Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth crashed out of the quarter-finals in USD 1 million China Open on Friday. Sindhu lost to Chen Yufei while Srikanth lost to Kento Momota.

P V Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth crashed out of the quarter-finals in USD 1 million China Open on Friday. P V Sindhu was beaten 21-11, 11-21, 15-21 by Chen Yufei. While Kento Momota beat Kidambi Srikanth 21-9, 21-11 to storm into the semi-finals.
Olympic and world championship silver-medallist P V Sindhu on Thursday lost in the quater finals. Sindhu, who had clinched the China Open title earlier in 2016. Sindhu defeated World No. 39 Saena Kawakami of Japan 21-15, 21-13 in the opening round at the Olympic Sports Center Xincheng Gymnasium.
With this India’s campaign also comes to an end. Earlier, Ashwini Ponnappa and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Sikki Reddy and Pranav Jerry Chopra also met a similar fate.
