Shillong Lajong vs Mumbai FC: Match Details

Prediction: Who Has the Edge?

Shillong Lajong enter this one full of confidence after seeing off Nongkseh SS&CC in the local derby, and with home support behind them at JLN Stadium, they’ll be favourites against a Mumbai FC side playing in their maiden Durand Cup campaign. That said, Mumbai FC opened their account in style with a comfortable win over Langsning FC, so they won’t be short on belief either. Expect Shillong Lajong to have the edge, but Mumbai FC are capable of springing a surprise if their attack clicks early.

Lineups and Teams

Both sides are expected to stick largely with the personnel that got them wins in their previous outings. Confirmed lineups usually land around an hour before kickoff, so check back closer to matchday for the final XIs.

Players to Watch

Mumbai FC’s campaign has generated buzz off the pitch too, with Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff registered in their squad — though his expected debut is being saved for the final group game. On the pitch, though, this fixture is all about which attack can break down a well-organised Shillong Lajong defense on their own turf.
