Shelah Mae Cadag has joined Odisha FC’s Women’s side on loan until the end of the season. She has made the move from Kaya–Iloilo in the Philippines. Last year, she was named the most valuable player in the PFF Women’s League, and is now embarking on a new adventure in India.

Aged 25, she plays as a forward and will be a valuable addition for the Odisha Women’s team for the remainder of the season. The Juggernauts have asserted themselves as one of the top teams in the Indian Women’s League, and amidst fierce competition for the title, things are only getting better with the addition of higher quality foreign players.

Shelah Mae Cadag is a Philippines international player too, having made six appearances with seven goals to her name. Before playing for Kaya–Iloilo, she started out at her college, playing for University of Santo Tomas in Manila.

Kaya went on to win their first ever league title in the presence of Cadang, and with her being named the most valuable player, it was a huge milestone for the young forward.

It now remains to be seen how she adapts to the conditions and the demands in India, where Women’s football is slowly growing into a very competitive league.
