Anya Taylor-Joy wheels a suitcase up a quiet London street, looking effortlessly chic. Nothing suspicious here, except that her character has presumably just wiped out a relative on a family holiday. Welcome to the first look at Netflix’s How to Kill Your Family, which has officially started filming.
Marbella: The First Look, Decoded
The set photos show Taylor-Joy as Grace Bernard returning to London after a deadly family trip to Marbella. Her outfit is a long camel trench coat, white tee, black mini skirt, pale blue socks and polished loafers.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted a luggage tag reading AGP to LGW, meaning Málaga to Gatwick. It’s a neat bit of set dressing confirming exactly where Grace has been.
What Is the Story About?
Based on Bella Mackie’s hugely successful 2021 novel, this darkly comic thriller follows Grace, the illegitimate daughter of ruthless billionaire Simon Artemis. After he refuses to acknowledge her or help her dying mother, she plans a killing spree targeting her wealthy relatives one by one, with revenge and a huge inheritance in sight.

Netflix’s logline asks whether the scheme will cost Grace even more than she’s already lost. For more on the star, see her Wikipedia profile.
