Sharp has launched the AQUOS R7, its first flagship device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip, the device has other great features as well. Let us take a detailed look at the specifications and pricing of the AQUOS R7.
Sharp AQUOS R7 specifications:
The Sharp AQUOS R7 arrives with a 6.6″ Pro IGZO OLED display with a resolution of 1260 x 2730 pixels, it has a peak brightness of 2000 nits which means you can view your screen even on the sunniest of days. It has a variable refresh rate between 1Hz to 240Hz, 10-bit colors, and Dolby Vision support.
Similar to its predecessor, the AQUOS R6, the R7 sports a display with a central punch hole camera setup, it has an integrated fingerprint scanner for biometrics and runs on Android 12 OS with Sharp’s custom UI on top.
In the optics department, it has a 12.6MP selfie shooter on the front, a rather odd configuration, on the rear, it has a 47.2MP primary sensor with an LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. The camera setup on the rear is unique and provides a different look to the device. The camera arrives with support for all-pixel octa PD autofocus, which is twice as fast as conventional autofocus. The device features a secondary lens as well, however, we are not sure about its configurations as of now.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip and it is paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery most likely with standard 10W charging support. There is no official word on the charging capabilities of the device. It is a 5G device that supports WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC support, and a USB Type-C port. The AQUOS R7 is a waterproof and dust-resistant phone.
In terms of pricing, the brand has not revealed any details about it. The device is likely to release in the Japanese markets in July this year and will be available in black and silver variants.
