Apple TV+ has dropped the trailer of Charlie Hunnam’s show, ‘ Shantaram’. The upcoming show has been headlined by actor Charlie Hunnam. The show follows the internationally bestselling novel by Gregory David Roberts. The story of the show is based on Lin Ford who is a fled convict who flees towards the teeming streets of 1980s Bombay, looking to disappear. On working as a medic for the city’s poor and neglected, Lin Ford had an unexpected love, connection, and courage on the long road to redemption.
Now, come to the trailer, the almost two-minute-long trailer has introduced Gunnam as Lin Ford who is a convict trying to escape to Bombay to keep himself free from prison, and stay away part. According to him, Bombay is a “place where everyone started new.” on reaching Bombay, he also reached the aid of such underprivileged and thus starts his adventure of redemption. This thing indicated; we also get to see his love interest Karla featured by Antonia Desplat. There is something quite strange about her character.
Shantaram: Cast
Apart from Hunam and Desplat, the show also charges an ensemble cast containing the actors Shubham Saraf, Elektra Kilbey, Fayssal Bazzi, Luke Pasqualino, Alyy Khan, Sujaya Dasgupta, Vincent Perez, David Field, Alexander Siddig, Gabrielle Scharnitzky, Elham Ehas, Rachel Kamath, Matthew Joseph, and Shiv Palekar. Shantaram has co-created, written, and also executively made by Steve Lightfoot who also has served as the showrunner. Recently Johhny Depp is also set to have appeared in the lead role in the show.
Shantaram: Release Date
We are already entered into October, so we don’t need to wait for long as the 12 episodic Apple Original series is set to begin on 14th October 2022. After unveiling the launch of the first three episodes will hit on the 14th of October, the makers of the show will drop one episode each Friday. The final season will hit on 16th December.
