Tottenham Hotspur left-back Sergio Reguilon is becoming a subject of interest for clubs across Europe. The Spaniard has been in and out of the first team under Antonio Conte this season, but as of recently, it seems that he has found his place on the left-wing.
Barcelona are one of the clubs looking at the player which is quite interesting, since he is a former Real Madrid man. Reguilon was on loan at Sevilla, where he made a name for himself before moving to Tottenham Hotspur from Real Madrid, after his loan spell expired.
Sergio Reguilon transfer situation explained
The 25-year-old’s contract with Spurs has a buyback clause from Real Madrid. And, Los Blancos could look to activate it this summer, with Marcelo set to end his iconic spell at the club when his contract runs out at the end of the season.
So, having a recognised option in Sergio Reguilon to compete with Ferland Mendy for game time would be beneficial for the squad depth going forward. Mendy has also attracted interest from several clubs, and there is a chance that he could leave as well.
Alongside Barcelona and Real Madrid, there are other top European clubs in the race for the player as well. The race for the Spaniard is open and there are several options available on the table.
But, whether or not Spurs would be willing to let their man go is another question altogether, considering their extremely rigid stance in terms of transfers.
