Seo Kang Jun Opens Up on “A Love Other Than Yours,” Love, and His Next Acting Leap

Actor Seo Kang Jun is drawing praise for his raw, introspective performance in KBS 2TV’s currently airing romance drama “A Love Other Than Yours.” In a recent sit-down with ELLE Korea, the actor got candid about the emotional toll of the role, his personal views on love, and where he wants to take his acting career next.

A Love Other Than Yours: Overview

A Draining Role Worth the Weight

The drama follows a couple ten years into their relationship, navigating unexpected emotional shifts in a bond that once felt effortless. Seo Kang Jun admitted the role left him emotionally spent, saying he pushed himself to fully understand Namgoong Ho and Mi Do’s inner world, which left him drained after pouring everything into the performance.

His Take on Love and Boundaries

He described Namgoong Ho as put-together and diligent on the surface, yet quietly anxious underneath. Reflecting on the drama’s themes, he shared that loving someone properly requires standing firmly on your own feet first, adding that a partner should never become the sole reason for one’s life.

Finding Meaning in Emptiness

Rather than chasing fixed life goals, Seo Kang Jun said he takes things one step at a time. He called emptiness a valuable chance to face his true self, referencing Hermann Hesse’s Siddhartha to explain how solitude and self-exploration shape both his life and his craft.

What’s Next for the Actor?

Looking ahead, he expressed a desire to push past his current creative limits while also learning to hold back — delivering performances that feel understated rather than showy. For more K-drama updates and celebrity interviews, check out TechnoSports for the latest entertainment buzz.
