Selling Tampa is the new Netflix series, it is basically a spinoff of the reality television show Selling Sunset’s franchise. On Wednesday, it has declared that the latest real estate show is going to hit the streaming platform.
Selling Tampa: Plot
Selling Tampa tells us the real story of Allure Realty, a Black-owned real estate company that goes around the work and adventures with all Black agents whose office is on 7th Avenue in Ybor City, and is owned by broker Sharelle Rosado.
Rosado, who is engaged to former NFL player Chad Johnson and has said, “I’m a boss. I get things done, I know how to have fun, but there’s a time and a place for everything. You’ll see part of that military structure come out”.
Selling Tampa: How did Netflix come to believe in the series?
Allure has been created by Rosado in 2019, after making an immediate impact in the community along with a big presence on social media, that’s why Netflix has caught its attention.
Rosado has said, “It was Women’s International month in 2020, we posted a photo and we had several producers reach out to us. I didn’t like the way that producer was portraying us as minority women. We are not Atlanta housewives. We are beautiful, Black, and about our businesses”.
Rosado is responsible for maintaining order among her subordinate brokers at Allure Realty and balancing her personal life as a mother and Johnson’s partner, always striving to excel in the highly competitive industry of luxury real estate.
Cast
Selling Tampa display distinct personalities. Rena Frazier, a veteran broker who has aspirations of her own; Tennille Moore, synonymous with goofing off; and her friend Alexis Williams, who along with Karla Giorgio are the office slackers, plus Juawana Colbert, who prefers not to take her job so seriously.
Rena Fraizer has said, “We’re all working our real jobs as agents while we’re filming the show, so it’s a really interesting dynamic that you get to see”.
She further added, “You’ll see in the show these gorgeous, large properties and they’re half the price of LA and a third the price of New York. But it’s the expansiveness of the property – you can be on the coastline, or the rural areas, but you really get a good bang for your buck here”.
