SAP and S3NS have announced a strategic partnership aimed at expanding trusted cloud services across France, with global technology group Thales (https://www.thalesgroup.com/) becoming the inaugural customer. This collaboration seeks to enable digital sovereignty for highly regulated sectors by combining SAP’s enterprise applications and Business AI capabilities with S3NS’s secure cloud infrastructure.

SAP and S3NS: Leveraging SecNumCloud for Sensitive Workloads
Under the agreement, SAP RISE private cloud edition will be deployed by SAP Sovereign Cloud on S3NS’s SecNumCloud-qualified Cloud Platform, known as PREMI3NS. This deployment is expected to be commercially available by the second half of 2026. The platform is designed to ensure that data remains stored, processed, and encrypted within France, under French jurisdiction, while providing access to advanced cloud technology and SAP’s innovation stack, including AI-driven functionalities.

Thales Transforms ERP Landscape with Sovereign Cloud
As the first SAP customer within the S3NS trusted cloud environment, Thales is undertaking a significant modernization of its SAP ERP landscape. The company plans to adopt SAP’s ‘clean core’ principle to enhance long-term agility and future-readiness. This program will unify core business processes, including finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and procurement, on the PREMI3NS platform.
