Sandip Patel Cannes 2026: Indian-Origin Producer Takes SRHP Films to the Global Stage

Sandip Patel Cannes 2026 — Indian-origin producer showcases Holy Father starring Eric Roberts and announces Sundown Town, bridging Indian creativity with Hollywood.

Not every Indian making waves at Cannes walks the red carpet in a designer gown. Some arrive with scripts, pitch decks, and a quiet but unstoppable mission to put Indian storytelling on the world’s biggest stage. Sandip Patel is one of those people — and at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, the Augusta-based, Indian-origin producer made his presence felt in all the right rooms.

Sandip Patel Cannes 2026: Key Highlights

The Film That Turned Heads at Cannes

A major attraction during Cannes was the upcoming Hollywood film Holy Father, directed by Shravan Tiwari. The film stars renowned Hollywood actor Eric Roberts, along with Mary Lyrette, and has already generated industry attention for its international production value and cinematic scale.

Eric Roberts — a seasoned Hollywood heavyweight and Oscar nominee — lending his name to an Indian diaspora production is no small thing. It signals exactly the bridge-building that Sandip Patel has been working toward for years: Hollywood-scale production, powered by Indian creative ambition.

A Second Announcement: Sundown Town

SRHP Films celebrated the launch of another ambitious Hollywood project, Sundown Town, with an official ceremony in the United States on May 23, 2026. Produced by Sandip Patel and Rita Patel, the film is scheduled for a 2027 release and further highlights the company’s growing involvement in international cinema production.

Two films. Two countries. One clear message: SRHP Films is no longer just an emerging name — it is becoming a genuine bridge between Indian storytelling and the global mainstream.

Cannes as a Business Arena

Sandip Patel Cannes visit was not just about showcasing films — it was strategic. During the festival, he participated in several high-level networking meetings and film market discussions focused on global distribution opportunities and international collaborations. As a member of the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association, Patel interacted with IMPPA Vice President Atul Patel for insights into international film business expansion.

He also received support from award-winning digital marketing executive and photographer Ashvin Borad, who was honoured at the Filmfare India International Film Festival.

Why This Matters for Indian Cinema

Industry observers believe these projects represent a significant step toward positioning SRHP Films among emerging global production banners from the Indian diaspora. The project reflects SRHP Films’ strategy of creating globally relevant content capable of reaching audiences across diverse markets and cultures.

For decades, the conversation about Indian cinema going global has been dominated by Bollywood’s biggest studios. The story of Sandip Patel Cannes 2026 proves that the next chapter of that globalisation may be written not just from Mumbai — but from Augusta, one Hollywood collaboration at a time.
