Google’s latest version of its Android mobile operating system, the Android 12 is finally here and the update has officially started rolling out albeit to a handful of devices as of now. Well, since Google is doing its part, it is now time for the smartphone markers to unveil their custom UI skins.
And who better to do so first than the world’s leader in the smartphone market. Yes, we are talking about the South Korean technology giant Samsung, who has just shared a promotional video for the upcoming One UI 4.
Samsung’s One UI 4 Beta is already available for some Samsung phones and the stable version is expected to be available in a couple of weeks. Its One UI is one of the most beautiful looking and performance-oriented custom UI and personally, it’s my favourite Android skin.
In the promotional video shared, towards the end, Samsung reveals that there will also be One UI Book 4 claiming that this custom skin is aimed towards laptops. As the name clearly says, this will be a version of the custom skin for the laptops from the brand.
Samsung further stated that this OS, once released will be made available for the Galaxy Book Pro 360, Galaxy Book Pro, Galaxy Book Flex 2, Galaxy Book, and Galaxy Book Odyssey. There are also speculations that the new skin will be made available for the upcoming or future laptops from the company.
Upon further explanations related to how One UI Book 4 will be, it seems that the One UI Book 4 will change the look of the Windows operating system and apps to be in line with Samsung’s design, much like how One UI 4 works for smartphones.
For now, we don’t know much about what the upcoming One UI Book 4 will look like or what elements will be changed in the Windows operating system. But since Windows is not an open-source operating system, Samsung’s choices will be pretty much limited.
This is also something major that the company is doing to further integrate its features into Microsoft‘s Windows OS. So, I am excited and waiting to see the results.
