It’s already a well-known fact that Samsung’s new Exynos SoC, paired with AMD RDNA2 GPU, will be officially announced next month. And the chip is expected to deliver extremely favorable performance in the gaming segment. And while we wait for the good news to arrive, a tipster has revealed that Samsung has begun testing its new chip, and the results are beyond astonishing.

According to sources, the new Exynos chipset paired with an AMD GPU was indeed tested and the test was done on the older Cortex-A77 architecture. However, even being an older platform the results are jaw-dropping. Speaking about the 3D Mark Wildlife GPU results, the overall score of the chip is 8134 points, and since the architecture is older, we can expect even higher results on newer platforms.

It’s now clear that the Exynos SoC with an AMD GPU easily beats the Exynos 2100 and Snapdragon 888, and both obtained scores of 5295, and 5382, respectively. however that’s not the shocking part, the major blow is that the A14 Bionic, which is currently the fastest GPU in a smartphone, and is featured in the ultra faster iPhone 12 series, is also beaten by the latest member of Samsung’s mobile chipset family. Boy, Christmas is here in July.

Exclusive: Samsung is testing the AMD GPU in the new Exynos, and the Wild Life test on the 3D Mark has scored 8134 points. It is worth mentioning that the CPU in this test is A77 architecture, for reference only. Each test has different results, we need to wait for more results. pic.twitter.com/Rej9vqyP6s

It was already made clear that Samsung’s new chip was designed to make it possible for the company to compete with Apple’s A14 Bionic’s performance, but the numbers suggest that Samsung did a much better job. However, despite the eye-boggling numbers, there is still no information regarding the new SoC’s power consumption, which will play a pivotal role in all of this. So let’s wait and see what the Exynos SoC with AMD GPU has in store for us.
