South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics is no stranger in the display business. When most of here the term display, Samsung tends to pop up in our head. It is not a secret that the company is a leading brand in terms of OLED displays. But it is undoubtedly not a smooth ride being on top.

With the growing demand for high-performing technology and increasing competitors in display manufacturing and supply, Samsung has to take extreme precautions to stay ahead. In recent news, the company has applied for a current trademark to EUIPO. The company might be combining a logo, pitch, and brand-reinforcement.

According to sources, the logo’s words consist of “OLED Provided by Samsung”; and is accompanied by the multi-colored stylized square. The new logo will come associated with this display material. Reports indicate that the application filed by Samsung on December 10 is categorized under EUIPO’s Nice 9. The category comprises everything from display panels and products for Smartphones, PCs, TVs, and wearables.

Reports indicate that Samsung is planning to launch its new devices in the upcoming CES 2021. The new trademark might play a significant role in the event, given the announcement’s timing and the upcoming event. The new brand from Samsung shows the company’s stand in the display market. Samsung is pushing itself to become a prominent supplier in the business.
