According to the sources, Samsung plans to hire 1,000 engineers in India for its research and development (R&D) centers, including Samsung Semiconductor India Research in Bengaluru, Samsung R&D Institutes in Bangalore, Noida, and Delhi.

Based on the statement from the sources, the company said that they will work on cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, image processing, internet of things, connectivity, cloud computing, big data, business intelligence, predictive analysis, communication networks, system on a chip (SoC), and storage solutions.
They will hire engineers from a variety of fields, including computer science and related departments (AI/ML/Computer Vision/VLSI, etc.), information technology, electronics, instrumentation, embedded systems, and communication networks, according to the announcement. The company will also be hiring in fields like software engineering and mathematics & computing.
Aiming to Hire New Talent
Sameer Wadhawan, HR Head of Samsung India said that the R&D centers want to hire fresh talent from the best engineering schools in India who will work on ground-breaking inventions, technologies, products, and designs, including inventions that are India-centric and improve people’s lives. This will help us achieve our goal of empowering digital India.
According to the company, its R&D centers will hire 200 engineers this hiring season from IITs including, but not limited to, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, and IIT BHU.
Furthermore, the company also added that its research facilities in India have submitted over 7,500 patent applications covering technologies like multi-camera systems, televisions, digital apps, 5G and 6G wireless networks, and ultra-wideband wireless communication protocol.
