Samsung Launches ISOCELL HP3 Image Sensor with more accuracy

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd is known for making advanced semiconductor technology, yesterday launched 200MP ISOCELL HP3, the image sensor having the industry’s little 0.56-micrometer pixels. The brand new press release reveals multimedia. Samsung’s newest image sensor, the ISOCELL HP3.

The executive vice president of the sensor business team, JoonSeo Yim said, “Samsung has continuously led the image sensor market trend through its technology leadership in high-resolution sensors along with the smallest pixels,” he also added,” With our latest and upgraded 0.56 micrometer 200MP ISOSELL HP3, Samsung five a push on to the epic deliver resolutions that’s just beyond professional levels for smartphone camera users.”

ISOCELL

Fantastic Resolution more than Pro Levels

It was in 2019, that Samsung unveil the 108MP image sensor roll-out, now Samsung is now leading the trend of the next generation, ultra-high-solution camera manufacturing.  Now the steady launch of many new image sensors with advanced performance, the company is once again moving ahead along with 0.56micro meter 200MP ISOCELL HP3.

The ISOCELL HP3 has a 12 percent tiny pixel size with the predecessor’s 0.64micrometer packs having 200 million pixels in a 1/1.4” optical format that is mainly the diameter of the area as it is captured through the lens of the camera. This indicates that the ISOCELL HP3 can open an approximate 20 percent reduction in the camera module surface area, and also allow smartphone manufacturers for keeping slim premium devices.

The ISOCELL HP3 features with Super QPD focusing solution which means pixels of all the sensors embedded with auto-focusing abilities. Additionally, Super QPD uses a single lens over four of the adjacent pixels for detecting the phase differences in both horizontal and vertical directions. This thing has paved a way for a more proper and faster auto focusing for smartphone camera users.

The new sensor system also allows users to capture videos in 8K at 30 framers-per-second (fps) or 4K at 120fps, with the negligible loss on the field of view while taking 8K videos. By combining Super QPD solutions users also can take film-like cinematic footage with their smartphone devices.

Tera2pixel: Low Light Experience

The ISOCELL HP3 also gives an extreme low-light experience along with the Tetra 2-pixel technology that combines four pixels into the one to convert that 0.56-micrometer 200MP sensor into a 1.12mictometer 50MP sensor, or a 12.5MP sensor having 2.24micrometer pixels by combining 16 pixels into one. The latest technology allows the sensor to simulate a giant-sized pixel sensor for taking brighter and also more vibrant shots whether it is in dimmed environments just like-in doors or at night.

ISOCELL HP3 also brings the feature to maximize the dynamic range of the mobile image sensor. It adopts a modified and improved Smart-ISO Pro feature. The ISOCELL HP3 is able to switch between the two solutions that only depend on the environment of the filming to make such high-quality GDR pictures.

The samples of Samsung ISOCELL HP3 also become available with mass production starting the year.

A big thanks for the source
