Samsung Innovation Campus: The final batch of 120 students are from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow

Hey tech enthusiasts, we’ve got some heartwarming news for you all the way from India. Samsung, the country’s leading consumer electronics brand, is doing more than just selling top-notch gadgets. They’re investing in the future by empowering the country’s youth with skills in AI, IoT, Big Data, coding and programming.

Samsung Innovation Campus Upskills 3,000 Less-Privileged Students Across India in AI, IoT, Big Data and Coding & Programming; Prepares Them For FutureTech Jobs to Drive Digital India

Under their flagship programme, Samsung Innovation Campus, they’ve trained 3,000 less-privileged students across eight cities in India. And it’s not just about learning – they’re helping these bright minds find relevant job placements, too. So, who said tech couldn’t create a better world?

In case you’re wondering, Samsung’s initiative is all about strengthening Digital India and empowering the country’s young population. Working alongside the Government, Samsung aims to turn India into a hub of digitally skilled professionals.

Over the past year, the Electronics Sectors Skills Council of India (ESSCI) has been working its magic through a network of approved training and education partners to make this programme a success.

The latest batch of students to graduate from the Samsung Innovation Campus hailed from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Lucknow. The proud moment was marked with a certificate ceremony attended by several dignitaries, including Mr. Hyun Kim, Corporate Vice President of Samsung Southwest Asia, and Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, COO (officiating CEO) of ESSCI.

Interestingly, a third of the total students trained under the programme are from Uttar Pradesh. These newly skilled techies are now ready to step into the real world and showcase their talents at job fairs.

Mr. Hyun Kim spoke about Samsung’s commitment to India’s digital future: “We believe in the power of the youth and want to contribute to creating a skilled workforce. Through Samsung Innovation Campus, we aim to empower the youth, create opportunities in future tech domains, and boost India’s growth story.”

Dr. Abhilasha Gaur echoed these sentiments, emphasising the programme’s role in strengthening the country’s skills ecosystem and making India the skills capital of the world.

The Samsung Innovation Campus initiative was welcomed by Mr. Sanjay Singh, Vice Chancellor of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, who praised its role in imparting employment-oriented future tech skills to students.

Samsung India launched the programme at eight campuses across the country with a clear aim: upskill 3,000 less-privileged youth in future tech domains and help them secure relevant job placements. Targeting youth aged 18-25 years, the programme aims to equip them with key tech skills needed for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

So, here’s to Samsung, for showing us that technology is not just about creating cool gadgets, but also about empowering people and shaping a better future!

Hey there, tech enthusiasts! Ever wondered what it’s like to be part of Samsung’s Innovation Campus program? Let’s dive into the details.

This program is all about hands-on learning. Everyone who joins gets to learn from experienced instructors through ESSCI-approved training and education partners spread across India. The best part? You get to choose your tech domain – whether it’s Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data, or Coding & Programming. And don’t worry, they’ll make sure you’re job-ready by also providing soft skills training.

So, how does it work? If you pick AI, you’ll be in for a treat with 270 hours of theory training, followed by an 80-hour project. Choose IoT or Big Data, and you’ll undergo 160 hours of training and an 80-hour project. For those who opt for Coding & Programming, you’ll have an 80-hour training session and then get to show off your skills in a Hackathon.

But that’s not all. Samsung Innovation Campus is part of Samsung’s bigger game plan. They’re committed to improving education and skilling young people in India through their CSR initiatives. One such initiative is “Solve for Tomorrow”, which is all about empowering future leaders and equipping them with tools to bring about meaningful change. Through these programs, Samsung aims to nurture a culture of innovation and problem-solving among India’s youth.

So, are you ready to join them and become a part of the tech revolution?
