Samsung will host its Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, unveiling four new smartphones, including the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. But in the highlight, the emphasis is on the special coexistence of the list, the Galaxy S25 Slim. This made the Slim, rumored to be Samsung’s thinnest phone yet, a source of great fanfare — especially as Apple is said to be introducing what sounds like a family of similar but wider devices this year.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim to be the Thinnest Flagship of 2025, Measuring Just 6.4mm

High-quality 5K renders that were recently leaked by Smartprix and OnLeaks give us an idea of what the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim will look like. As its name suggests, the device is extremely slim: 6.4mm without the camera module, and 8.3mm with it. By comparison, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be 8.2mm thick without its camera bump, highlighting the Slim’s standout design. The Galaxy S25 Slim doesn’t compromise on screen size despite its ultra-thin profile. Reports suggest it will feature a 6.7 to 6.8-inch display within a compact frame measuring 159 x 76 x 6.4mm.

This makes it 3.8mm shorter, 1.6mm narrower, and 1.8mm thinner than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which measures 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm. In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim follows the aesthetic of the S25 series. It has a metal frame, glass back, ultra-thin bezels, and a triple rear camera configuration. The flat display matches the flat buttons and USB-C port, speaker grille, and microphone located at the bottom of the phone.

Samsung’s thinnest phone until now, the Galaxy A8, measured 4.9mm but had less powerful hardware. Proving that thin phones can be powerful, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim offers an ultra-sleek chassis alongside an even larger battery and premium trims. The Galaxy S25 Slim will be unveiled on January 22, with sales expected to begin later this year. Samsung is expected to reveal the complete launch and availability timeline at the event.
