The Galaxy S25 series is expected to launch at Samsung‘s Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, which is slated to happen in San Jose, California, on January 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM PT (approximately 11:30 PM IST). This time and place parallels the launch of the Galaxy S24 series at the SAP Center. The S25 series is expected to launch in India at a similar time, possibly with updated prices of ₹84,999 for the S25, ₹1,04,999 for the S25+ and ₹1,34,999 for Ultra, reflecting a ₹5,000 price increase across the board.

As for the specifications and the features of the Galaxy S25 series, the S25 and S25+ may possibly land in Midnight Black, Sparkling Green, Sparkling Blue, Moon Night Blue, and Silver Shadow whereas the Ultra variant could go on sale in Titanium Black, Titanium Blue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Grey. On the display front, the S25 Ultra is expected to come with a larger screen with a 3,120 x 1,440 resolution and a 501ppi pixel density, while the S25 and S25+ models would likely feature similar display sizes/similar display specs to their respective predecessors.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy S25 series will probably be based on the chipset Snapdragon 8 Elite, which has six performance cores with a frequency of 3.53 GHz, and two efficiency cores with a frequency of 4.47 GHz. The S25 Ultra might feature 16GB of RAM and UFS 4.1 storage and the regular models could be with 12GB of RAM. In the camera department, the Ultra model may get a 50MP ultrawide lens upgrade, but the rest of the camera setup is likely to remain the same.

The phones would be running One UI 7, based on Android 15, the shell would include some changed UI elements, changed icons, maybe Bixby AI, based on LLM. For the design, the Ultra variant could show off with flatter sides and rounded corners. Like its predecessors, the S25 series will probably have IP68 water and dust resistance, ultrasonic fingerprint readers, and support for fast charging and wireless charging.
