Samsung appears to be preparing for the debut of its next flagship smartphones — the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra — on January 17. Initial leaks suggested that the standard Samsung Galaxy S24 might utilize either an Exynos 2400 SoC or a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, depending on the region. However, a recent leak indicates that the standard model will be equipped with the Exynos 2400 SoC in all global markets. In the previous Galaxy S23 lineup, all models were introduced earlier in the year with a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, while the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in all markets.

The Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Series

Renowned tipster WigettaGaming (@WigettaGaming) disclosed the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S24 through a promotional chart on X (formerly Twitter). According to the post, the Exynos 2400 chip will power the Galaxy S24 in every country except the US and Canada. In these regions, the device will run on a modified version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC known as “Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy.”

In contrast, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S24+ are likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy with overclocked CPU and GPU cores across all markets. In the Galaxy S23 lineup, all variants worldwide were launched with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.

The Galaxy S24 family is rumored to come with One UI 6.1 based on Android 14 and boasts AMOLED LTPO displays offering variable refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The Galaxy S24 may feature a 6.2-inch full-HD+ panel, while the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra could feature 6.7-inch and 6.8-inch QHD+ panels, respectively. The Ultra variant is expected to feature a 200-megapixel quad-camera setup, while the standard models might include a 50-megapixel triple-camera unit.

Regarding battery capacity, Samsung is reportedly planning a 4,000mAh battery for the base Galaxy S24 model, with the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra potentially having 4,900mAh and 5,000mAh batteries, respectively.
