Samsung could finally unveil the Galaxy S21FE on the 8th of September, the device was scheduled to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip3 earlier this month. However, due to the chip shortage and other issues, the company was forced to halt the announcement, for a moment we even witnessed reports that mentioned the device was going to be canceled. If all goes well, the Galaxy S21 FE would be a success in the market like its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 FE.
So far we know that the Galaxy S21 FE will ship with a Snapdragon 888 SoC, a recent report, however, has suggested that the device may ship with an Exynos variant as well, this would most likely be for the international market.
A new variant of the Galaxy S21 FE has appeared on the GeekBench database and it comes with model number SM-G990E. The phone features an Exynos 2100 along with 8 gigs of RAM. The device scored 1,084 points in the single-core score and 3,136 points in the multi-core score.
While an Exynos 2100 touting phone may be a bummer to many people, it has received a negative reputation for no reason and is actually a good chipset that was featured in the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
We can expect the Galaxy S21 FE to have a 6.5″ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with FHD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of 120Hz, coming to the camera specs, it will have a 32MP front camera, and a triple-camera setup on the rear including an ultra-wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens along with a standard lens.
We can expect the Galaxy S21 FE to come in grey, light green, light violet, and white. The Galaxy S21 FE is going to run Android 11 based on One UI 3.1. It comes with 6GB/8GB RAM variants along with 128GB/256GB storage variants, it is not clear if the device will have a microSD card slot. It comes with an IP67 dust and water resistance rating.
The Galaxy S21 FE has a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging and Qi wireless charging. The pricing of the device is unknown.
