Reports suggest that Samsung is currently in the development stage of the Galaxy M15, and indications point to potential similarities with, if not being a rebranded version of, the Galaxy A15. However, a key differentiator for the upcoming phone is the inclusion of a substantial 6,000mAh battery. Notably, the recently launched Galaxy A15 5G in India is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. Typically, the release of Galaxy M series phones closely follows that of their Galaxy A series counterparts.
The Upcoming Samsung Galaxy M15
The rumored specifications for the Samsung Galaxy M15 include a 6,000mAh battery, which is 1,000mAh larger than the Galaxy A15. The Galaxy A15’s 25W fast charging is expected to be present on the Samsung Galaxy M15 as well. In terms of processing power, the 4G variant of the Galaxy M15 may feature the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, while the 5G variant could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, drawing parallels from the Galaxy A15.
For its display, the Galaxy M15 is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with an Infinity U notch, FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 800nits. The phone is expected to run on Android 14-based One UI 6 out of the box.
In the camera department, the Galaxy M15’s rear setup may include a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro module. The front camera could be a 13MP sensor, capable of recording 1080p 30fps videos from both sides.
Memory configurations for the Galaxy M15 are anticipated to mirror those of the Galaxy A15, offering options of 4/6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. The device is also expected to feature an SD Card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C 2.0 port, dual-band WiFi AC, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and NFC.
