Samsung Galaxy M05 Expected to Launch in India Soon: Official Support Page Goes Live

Samsung Galaxy M05 will launch soon in India and should become the successor to the Samsung Galaxy M04 which was introduced back in December 2022. On the other hand, being a member of Samsung’s budget M-series lineup means that Galaxy M05 will be priced in the same range as its predecessor, giving consumers just another great option to consider for an affordable yet dependable smartphone.

Well, newer reports hint towards the much-awaited launch of Galaxy M05. The device was also seen on multiple certifications suggesting an imminent release. The overlay support page for the Galaxy M05 has also gone live on the Samsung India website, which is unmistakable about a pending launch. Recent reports had suggested that the Samsung Galaxy M05 with model number SM-M055F/DS was listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. The “DS” in the model number suggests that the device will support dual SIM functionality, a feature commonly appreciated by users in markets like India. In other news, the device has cleared its Wi-Fi Alliance certification as well and it will come with support for dual-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz) on board of the Galaxy M05. With these certifications, it is clear that the Galaxy M05 might be ready to launch soon.

The Galaxy M05 has not been the subject of an exhaustive leak as of now, but it is safely assumed to be priced in line with the Galaxy M04. Galaxy M04 was priced at ₹9,499 for the base variant with 4GB of RAM and equal storage while customers had to pay ₹10,499 for its higher model which provided double the amount of storage yet a similar RAM count With that pricing strategy, the Galaxy M05 should also be priced in around the same bracket and compete as an attractive option for consumers who are looking at value-for-money offerings.

Samsung Galaxy M04 had a 6.5-inch HD+ screen, MediaTek Helio P35 chipset with support from a 5000mAh battery. It ran on Android 12 with Samsung’s One UI 4.1 layered on top. The device featured a dual rear camera setup, including a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. If the Galaxy M05 follows in its predecessor’s footsteps, it could feature similar specifications with potential upgrades in key areas such as battery life, camera quality, or processing power.
