The chipset on board rumoured to be Samsung’s new Exynos 1580 SoC is an octa-core; one prime core processing at 2.91GHz, three mid cores at a speed of up to 2.60GHz, and four efficiency cores humming along at 1.95GHz.
The expected phone may have 6.67GB of RAM and ARMv8 architecture. It’s also worth mentioning that it seems to use Android 15 OS not yet available for Samsung. Samung Galaxy A56 showed single and multi-core scores of 1,353 and 3,832 in the cross-platform benchmark Geekbench 6.2.2. These scores are a bit higher compared to the previously reported standalone benchmarking scores of Exynos 1580 that were 1,046 for single-core and up to 3,678 in multi-core.
As per a listing, the Samsung Galaxy A56 with model number SM-A566B/DS appeared on the IMEI database. A Samsung Exynos 1580 chipset, rumored to be codenamed ‘Santa’ and it may take on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC plus a new mid-range smartphone line which should feature the integrated power modem. Rumors claim that this chip will offer significantly better performance compared to the Exynos 1480 chipset in the Galaxy A55 5G. While no release date has been reported, the purported handset may follow the launch timeline of the Galaxy A55 and debut in the first quarter of the next year.
