The two most awaited mid-range Samsung Galaxy A-series phones support pages went live on official websites, confirming the launch in India very soon: the Galaxy A52 (4G/5G) and the Galaxy A72 4G. The support page listing has not revealed the specifications but the Indian launch is imminent. Now, let’s check out what we can expect from both A-series smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy A52:
As of now, the Galaxy A52 5G has been spotted only in certain certification platforms such as China’s TENAA and 3C regulatory bodies, Bluetooth SIG, and Wi-Fi Alliance. But, in recent times, this phone has got certified by the FCC certification website (model number: SM-A526B) which is indicating an imminent launch of this phone in the Indian market, probably in March. As of now, we don’t have any confirmed specifications of the Galaxy A52 5G. However, some leaks are suggesting that this phone will feature a 6.5-inch Infinity-O display and a thickness of 8.4mm. The 5G variant of this phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 750G chipset whereas the 4G variant could be powered by the Snapdragon 720G chipset. The Galaxy A52 is expected to run on Android 11 OS and probably feature a quad rear camera setup having a 64MP primary sensor. This device has recently appeared on the TENAA certification website with model number SM-A5260, showing that it will run on Android 11 OS, powered by a 4,500mAH battery, and will flaunt a 6.46-inch FHD+ AMOLED display (source).
Samsung Galaxy A72:
As per the leaks and reports, the Galaxy A72 5G is expected to run One UI 3.0 based on the latest Android 11 OS and will be powered by a 5nm Exynos 1080 chipset. Regarding the display, this phone is likely to feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080p. It will be a flat display and will have slim bezels all around. The Galaxy A72 5G will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
This phone will have a glasstic rear panel whereas the frame that goes around is aluminum. Looking at the basic design and size, there is a quite big similarity between the Galaxy A52 5G and Galaxy A72 5G. In terms of the camera section, this phone will feature a quad rear camera setup supported by an LED flash. For selfies, there is a small hole-punch at the top-middle part of the display.
