Samsung announced the specifications of its latest device in the A-series, the Galaxy A22 which will come in two different variants, a 5G supported and a 4G variant. Contrary to most smartphone manufacturers who while making a 5G and a 4G variant of a device, leave most of the physical and system specs similar in between the 2 variants, the Galaxy A22 on the other hand does differ specs-wise to a larger extent between its 5G and 4G variants.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G
The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will come with a 6.6″ 90 Hz FHD+ TFT display as opposed to earlier rumors which suggested a 6.2″ screen. The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and will come with Android 11 out of the box.
The Galaxy A22 5G will feature a triple camera setup, although it may appear as a quad-camera design it will consist of a 48MP main sensor with a 5MP+2MP additional sensors for depth and focus shots. It will have an 8MP selfie camera. It features an LED flash as well.
The Galaxy A22 5G will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and will have the standard 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is said to be 9.0mm thick with a weight of 203g. Samsung has given it a 5000mAh battery and it will come with a 15W charger. The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will be available in a 4GB RAM+ 64 GB storage variant and a 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM+ 128GB variant.

Samsung Galaxy A22 4G
The Samsung Galaxy A22 4G variant will feature a 6.4″ HD+AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The Galaxy A22 will feature a quad-camera setup, with a 48MP+5MP+2MP+2MP specification and will oddly feature an improved 13MP front camera.
The Galaxy A22 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset and will come with Android 11 out of the box. The Galaxy A22 will also have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and will feature a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will be 8.4mm thick and will weigh 186g.
The Galaxy A22 will come in a 4GB RAM+64GB variant and a 4GB/6GB RAM+128GB variant. It will also feature a 5000mAh battery and will come with a 15W charger.
The pricing and the release date of the Galaxy A22 is also unknown.
