Samsung G9 49-inch Curved Gaming Monitor with 240Hz refresh rate available globally at $1,699

Originally announced back in CES 2020, the Samsung G9 1000R Odyssey Curved Gaming Monitor is now available for purchase globally at $1,699. Obviously, with such prices, you’ll get a premium gaming that is one of its kind.

This is the best monitor in its Curved Odyssey gaming monitor lineup which Samsung says has been completely reimagined with gamers in mind. The 1000R curve design is made to fit within the full span of human vision. In spite of featuring an extremely deep curvature, the G9 1000R is equipped with the stunning QLED panels.

With a 49-inch display, this is the world’s first gaming monitor that offers Dual Quad High-Definition DQHD i.e. 5120×1440 resolution. It also features a 32:9 aspect ratio, a deep and immersive 1000R curvature, and a peak brightness of 1000 cd/m2. It also delivers great colour-space accuracy of 92% of AdobeRGB and 125% sRGB.

So, naturally, the Odyssey G9 monitor will have more colour accuracy and being TÜV Rheinland certified, it protects your eyes as well. It features 1ms response time and 240Hz Rapid refresh rate. The gaming monitor even supports the NVIDIA G-SYNC as well as the Adaptive-Sync on DP1.4.

The monitor features Quantum dot technology combined with an HDR1000 VA panel to produce lifelike colours in vivid detail. The G9 has a unique design with a glossy white exterior and an Iron Man-like infinity core lighting glowing rear core, which includes 52 colours and five lighting effect options.
