The third quarter revenue report for Samsung, a South Korean IT giant, has been posted online. The figures indicate that the business saw respectable third-quarter revenue growth.
Samsung reported $54 billion in revenue over the previous three months. When compared to the information from the prior year, that is a 4% percentage growth. Samsung claims record sales but a 24% drop in profit in the third quarter.
Decline in Operating Profit
The data also indicated that not everything with the corporation this year has gone so nicely. If we look at the operating profit of the company, we can find a reduction from the second and first quarters of this year and the previous year, respectively.
According to operating earnings for the third quarter of 2022, the business made $7.6 billion from July to September. The decrease from Q2 of the current year is roughly 23%. Samsung experienced a 26% reduction when compared to Q1 of 2021.
Additionally, the mobile experience sector reported excellent Q3 financial results. The enormous sales of the Foldable gadget were largely responsible for the profit. The Galaxy Flip 4 and Galaxy Fold 4, two new foldable smartphones, were key contributors to the revenues.
Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are two other wearables that were significant players in this industry. Growth in mobile phone sales has a positive impact on the screen industry as well. Particularly for a business like Samsung, which also makes displays.
Samsung’s Planning for Upcoming Years
Many macroeconomic and geopolitical issues could arise in the fourth quarter, which could have an impact on sales. However, the significant year-end sales that the Christmas season always brings can contribute to the business recording yet another gain in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Samsung also intends to increase the sales of its products with bigger screens, such as tablets. Additionally, they are making every effort to maintain a yearly growth rate for wearable technology in the double digits. The user experience for the S-Pen will be greatly improved in 2019, according to Samsung. This will increase their revenue by adding another source of income.
