The South Korean giant is never aloof of genius marketing skills and here it is, Samsung brings a new website called “OLED Era” which will tell you if your smartphone is using a Samsung OLED display or not. As we know, the company is way ahead in this race of OLED displays, they made this website, which by the way, has a simplistic yet cool UI.
OLED Era: What’s this website about?
You get to select the smartphone model you use from various brands including Samsung themselves, OPPO, Xiaomi, Realme, Meizu, OnePlus and others, however, it didn’t mention Apple. It’s interesting to see that Samsung has chosen to show its Android peers who are using their display but has not mentioned Apple, which is one of Samsung’s biggest customers.
If your smartphone is on that list, you come up with this page below that shows you are using a Samsung OLED. Also, this OLED Era website goes on to show marketing by saying that 7 out of 10 OLED users in the world use Samsung Display, so, showing its dominance in the market.
A genius move by the Samsung marketing team to show how much dependent the market is on Samsung’s OLED displays. As soon as a user knows this Samsung is asking them to know more about Samsung OLED, which does a good marketing promotion, a good idea in this regard obviously.
