Royal Enfield x Qualcomm: The Next Gen Electric Motorcycles

Flying Flea, the electric vehicle (EV) startup that was born by the Royal Enfield in Milan last November, is rapidly extending its movement. The brand is also hyping the company in the case of ground-breaking collaborations with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. within the USA, utilising the Snapdragon technology for the QWM2290 SoC and the Snapdragons car to the cloud platform in its e-Motorcycles that are offered shortly.

Flying Flea, the new brand of the Royal Enfield has officially announced a partnership deal with Qualcomm Technologies Inc. to bring the Snapdragon QWM2290 system-on-chip (SoC) to the next line of electric motorcycles. With Qualcomm Technologies, the platform for “powering connected services for two-wheelers” is now instrumental, thus the brand moves faster than previously in the global electric mobility sector.

The Electric Mobility Vision: Royal Enfield Enters A New Sphere.

Flying Flea is not a common brand of EVs; it is rather a humble move toward e-mobility development in the future. From upgrading to Raised Rim and Lower Pressure control to ultra-high-performance materials that allow energy to be removed during landing, the highly stable reversible rotor has been optimized to reduce aerodynamic drag which allows for more efficiency. An inevitable focus on integration of forward-looking technology for the industry – led to the establishment of Flying Flea as the out of all other self-sufficient brand of E-mobility is redefining the term ride.

“Flying Flea is, in fact, a brand that goes beyond this from Royal Enfield. It is the dawn of a completely new era,” said Mario Alvisi, Electric Vehicles, Chief Growth Officer, Royal Enfield. “Our joint work with Qualcomm Technologies illustrates a huge stride in building and launching innovative EV technology and developing an original, tailor-made product experience for global riders.”

The Heart of Flying Flea’s Connectivity: Snapdragon QWM2290

At the heart of this innovation is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon QWM2290, which is a chip specially engineered to be used in motorcycles. SoC, the brain of your superior performance two-wheeler, is approved to receive and propel the rider into the intelligent IoT era.

Key Features of the Snapdragon QWM2290 SoC:

  • Interactive TFT Display: A real round TFT matrix powered by a proprietary operating system that offers an easy and understandable way to control the motorcycle applications.
  • Multi-Modal Connectivity: 4G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi that provide seamless communication not only between the rider and the vehicle but also from the vehicle to the outside.
  • Voice Assist: There is a special button on the handlebars for using voice commands, which makes dealing with the system very simple and hands-free.
  • Smart Key Functionality: Users can control their motorcycles with their mobile phones by using the smart key to unlock or start the engine.
  • Customizable Ride Modes: Five pre-loaded ride modes, which can be further customized by the user depending on terrain and personal preferences.

This blend of hardware and software builds a safe, intelligent, and personalized riding experience and sets the Fly Flea apart as one of the most sophisticated electric two-wheelers in the world.

Connected Services: The Future of Two-Wheel Mobility

The cooperation between Flying Flea and Qualcomm Technologies is more than just about hardware. The Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud Platform brings immediate diagnostics, advanced maps, and customizable bike settings to the rider that make the motorcycle safer and more convenient for him.

“Connected services are the boundless two-wheeler market revolution,” stated Nimish Shrivastava, Senior Director Product Management at Qualcomm Technologies. “In the age of Jaadu-diagnostics and more features, Flying Flea is creating the most modern way for the riders to apply their motorcycles.”

Blending Heritage with Innovation

Flying Flea embodies Royal Enfield’s veteran background but adds a dash of freshness in the form of electric mobility. According to Jeff Arnold, Vice President, Product Management at Qualcomm Technologies, this relationship is the secret to this significance:

“This coalition blends Royal Enfield’s historical heritage with the modern innovation of Qualcomm Technologies. Together, we’re producing a bike that is not only a tribute to the Flying Flea’s tradition but also sets the new standard of connectivity, performance, and rider experience.”

What Makes Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea Stand Out?

Flying Flea has electric motorcycles that were built from zero up to come with a unique approach which combines extraordinary design with latest technologies. Here’s what makes them different:
