The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will go on sale in India on January 16, 2023. The 650cc cruiser bike will be available in two variants: Standard and Tourer, with prices ranging between Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 4 lakh. That makes it the most expensive Royal Enfield motorcycle in the country. The Standard model will be available in Astral (blue, black, and green) and Interstellar (green and grey) colour schemes, while the Tourer will be available in Celestial (Red and Blue).
The new Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser is powered by a 648cc air-and-oil-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 47bhp at 7,250rpm. At 5,650rpm, its torque figure is 52Nm. According to the company, 80 percent of its peak torque is available at 2,500 rpm. While the engine is derived from the RE Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, it has been customized in terms of mapping and gearing. A 6-speed constant mesh gearbox is standard on the bike.
The new Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser is the brand’s first model to feature the Showa 43mm USD fork suspension.
At the back, it has preload-adjustable twin shocks. The 320mm disc and 300mm disc rear brakes provide braking power. The model is outfitted with 100/90-19 front and 150/80-16 rear tires. With a total weight of 241kg, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is the company’s heaviest bike. It does, however, have the lowest seat height (740mm) and ground clearance (135mm).
The cruiser has a fuel tank capacity of 15.7 litres and a 1500mm wheelbase. It has an overall length of 2260mm, a width of 890mm (without mirrors), and a height of 1155mm. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is the first RE motorcycle to come standard with a full-LED headlamp and the Tripper navigation pod. The switch cubes finished in aluminum add to the premium appearance. It also has a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a black finish on the engine casings and head, and circular LED taillamps.
