Rowoon Girlfriend Story: The Pre-Debut Romance He Still Calls His First Love

Long before he became a heartthrob on screen, Rowoon had a quiet love story of his own — and when he finally spoke about it, fans couldn’t stop talking.

The SF9 member turned actor, best known for Destined With You, rarely opens up about his personal life. But one old TV appearance resurfaced online, revealing a softer, more sentimental side of him that fans hadn’t seen before.

When Rowoon Talked About His First Love

Back in 2020, Rowoon appeared on KBS’ Happy Together alongside Red Velvet’s Joy. While chatting about SF9’s comeback, the conversation drifted to his personal life, and he opened up about a relationship from before his debut.

He shared that the memories of that relationship still cross his mind often, calling her his first love and the person he has cherished most in his life so far. It was a rare, unscripted moment that instantly caught fans’ attention.

What Kind of Boyfriend Was He?

Rowoon didn’t stop at just naming her — he gave fans a glimpse into how devoted he was as a partner. He recalled that she lived in Bundang while he stayed near Samseong Station, a good distance apart. Whenever she fell sick, he’d travel across the city, sometimes by bus, sometimes driving over 15 km, just to bring her tea and porridge.

His reasoning was simple: anyone would do that for someone they truly love.
