Ross Taylor stated that it was around 2011 when the incident occurred in at the hotel where they stayed. He didn’t give too much of details nor did he mention the name of the person. When the incident occurred he told Shane Warne and Liz Hurley were also present.

“Rajasthan played Kings XI Punjab in Mohali. The chase was 195, I was lbw for a duck and we didn’t get close. Afterward, the team, support staff, and management were in the bar on the top floor of the hotel. Liz Hurley was there with Warnie. One of the Royals owners said to me, “Ross, we didn’t pay you a million dollars to get a duck” and slapped me across the face three or four times,” read the extract.

He verified that the slaps weren’t hard enough but believes that they were real.

“He was laughing and they weren’t hard slaps but I’m not sure that it was entirely play-acting. Under the circumstances, I wasn’t going to make an issue of it, but I couldn’t imagine it happening in many professional sporting environments.”- he further stated.

He spent three years at Royal Challengers Bangalore ( 2008-2010). He was bought for USD 1 million at the auction by the Royals. In his book he also mentioned his wish to stay in his previous franchise.
