Twenty years ago, ASUS Republic of Gamers launched with a single motherboard and a bold idea — that gaming hardware could be something more. Today at Computex 2026, ROG proved that idea never got old. The Edition 20 showcase wasn’t just a birthday celebration; it was a statement about where gaming is headed next — and ROG intends to lead it.
For the latest in gaming hardware launches and Computex 2026 coverage, TechnoSports has you covered.

ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle — Handheld Gaming Goes Collector-Grade
This limited-edition handheld is one of the most eye-catching products of the entire Computex show. The translucent black chassis with gold-accented internals looks like it belongs in a display case — but it’s built to perform. Powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor and featuring a new 7.4-inch ROG Nebula HDR OLED display at 120Hz, it includes TMR joysticks, a transforming D-pad, and AI-powered Auto SR upscaling. The cherry on top? It ships bundled with ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 AR Glasses for a genuinely immersive portable setup unlike anything else on the market.
ROG G1000 Edition 20 — The Desktop That’s Also a Work of Art
If you want the most powerful and visually striking desktop of 2026, this is it. The G1000 Edition 20 features the world’s first holographic fan system (AniMe Holo display) in a prebuilt gaming PC — letting users project custom visuals from inside the chassis. Underneath all that flair sits serious hardware: up to an RTX 5090 GPU, AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, and a Tri-Zone cooling architecture capable of dissipating 1000W TDP. It won the Golden Award at the Computex Best Choice Awards 2026 — and it’s easy to see why.
ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2026) — The Laptop That Doesn’t Compromise
For gamers who refuse to sacrifice performance for portability, the SCAR 18 delivers with brutal efficiency. Configurable with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and RTX 5090 Laptop GPU at a sustained 320W TDP, it pairs that grunt with the world’s first 18-inch 4K 240Hz Mini LED laptop display — enhanced by ROG Nebula ELMB for ghosting-free clarity. Tool-less SSD and RAM access, Aura RGB, and next-gen connectivity round out a machine built for those who want desktop-level power in a laptop chassis. Check out our full breakdown of the best RTX 5090 laptops to see how it compares.
Beyond Hardware — ROG’s Cultural Expansion
What’s genuinely exciting about Edition 20 is how far ROG has stretched the brand. The Republic of Gamers, which started as a PC component sub-brand, now spans lifestyle accessories, software ecosystems, and even tabletop gaming. The ROG Saga: In Search of Lapuntu board game — the brand’s first ever — supports four players in a co-op cyberpunk narrative that feels authentically ROG. The SLASH Backpack Edition 20, finished in gold accents with water-repellent materials, turns daily carry into a collector’s piece.
As Chairman Jonney Shih put it: “Twenty years on, we didn’t just change the game — we transformed the world around it.”
