Rockstar Reminds GTA 6 Cast to Keep Roles Secret Until November 19 Launch

Rockstar Games has reportedly sent out a fresh reminder to the entire voice and performance cast of GTA 6, reinforcing that non-disclosure agreements covering their involvement remain firmly in effect until launch day. According to a report from GTA VI O’Clock, the studio’s message was blunt: “We would like to remind everyone to please remember your NDA. The date you may announce your involvement is still November 19th.”

Notably, the reminder wasn’t limited to lead performers, but was sent to everyone who contributed any performance work to the game, underscoring just how seriously Rockstar treats pre-launch secrecy even this close to release.

Why Rockstar Sent the Reminder

The trigger for the reminder appears to have been actor Stephen Root, known for King of the Hill, who became the first cast member to publicly acknowledge his involvement with the game during an interview with the Associated Press. Root later admitted he broke confidentiality partly because his distinctive voice made concealment difficult once fans started speculating, effectively forcing his hand.

Beyond Root’s confirmed role, speculation around the identities of lead protagonists Lucia and Jason’s voice actors continues to run rampant among fans, with names like Manni L Perez and Dylan Rourke frequently floated as top candidates — though Perez has previously denied any connection to the project, and no official confirmation exists for either character.

This tight-lipped approach is nothing new for Rockstar, which has historically avoided official cast reveals in favour of letting fans piece together details through resumes, voice comparisons and stray leaks — a strategy that has only intensified the guessing game as GTA 6’s release edges closer.

For a game that has already generated years of speculation and leaks, the sheer scale of coordinated silence Rockstar has managed to maintain across dozens of cast and crew members remains genuinely impressive, and speaks to how much the studio values controlling its own narrative around one of the most anticipated releases in gaming history.

With just under two months left until launch, further slip-ups like Root’s seem inevitable given the scale of the production, but Rockstar’s swift internal response suggests the studio intends to plug any leaks as quickly as they surface.
