What Is Bait Actually About?
Bait tells the story of Shah Latif (Riz Ahmed), a struggling actor whose last chance to hit it big comes in the form of an audition that could catapult him to super stardom — with the role in question being none other than James Bond.
What unfolds is four chaotic days of existential spiral, family tension, public scrutiny, and a deeply human identity crisis. It’s part comedy, part satire — and entirely unmissable.
The show satirizes aspects of fame, identity, and public scrutiny in the entertainment industry, while serving as a major television writing and lead acting project for Ahmed. Wikipedia

Why Bait Is Worth Your Full Attention
This isn’t just another Prime Video comedy drop. Riz Ahmed is an Oscar and Emmy winner — and putting himself on screen as a version of an actor navigating extreme public scrutiny takes genuine creative courage.
Episode 3’s Eid family gathering scene has already drawn emotional reactions from early viewers, described as simultaneously warm and tense — real in a way that cuts deep. IMDb
