Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli have signed Riyad Mahrez from Manchester City. The Algerian has accepted a three-year deal with the option of a fourth.
The two clubs have agreed a deal worth €30 million upfront plus €5 million available in add-ons, which will see him join a number of other high-profile European players in the Gulf State.
Riyad Mahrez joins Al Ahli after incredible Premier League career
The 32-year-old has approved a contract worth £25 million per season with the Saudi club. Riyad Mahrez will be leaving Manchester City on the back of an illustrious five-year spell with the Sky Blues.
He played an important role in them winning the treble this past season, and will follow Ilkay Gundogan through the out door in the coming days.
City are now working on bringing in a replacement for the Algerian. They already have Phil Foden as a solid option on the right wing, and could turn to Cole Palmer or Bernardo Silva if no new player is signed. However, with only Mateo Kovacic signed this summer, Guardiola could soon have another new winger at his disposal.
