Returnal is presently available on PlayStation 5 and has been available for about a year and a half. The game, which was created by Housemarque, has pretty much only been accessible on the PlayStation. However, a PC version might be available sooner than people think.
This leak comes from the Icon-era forums, and if you click the link, you’ll see that the game does actually have a PC version. Additionally, the leaked copy supports ray-tracing and a number of other visual technologies including NVIDIA DLSS. Sony recently removed the leaked gameplay clip, however you may view images via Videocardz.
Although the video was quite brief, it served its purpose. There are several internal optimizations, such as those that improve performance or image quality. There is also an unhooked framerate option. You can select among the Balanced, Performance, Quality, and Ultra variations of the latter two when it comes to DLSS (with a DLSS Sharpness slider available).
This purported Returnal version also includes AMD FSR features, which have a comparable set of characteristics.
They lack NVIDIA’s DLSS capabilities’ sharpness slider, though. The game includes NVIDIA Image Scaling (NIS), providing you more choices to properly support your graphics card if necessary.
In recent months, Sony has been releasing some of its titles for PCs, including Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered (and later Spider-Man: Miles Morales). Returnal’s release date has not yet been confirmed, but the fact that a PC build is available for viewing may indicate that it will happen soon.
