Remedy is Working on Alan Wake 2 – says report

In 2020, the Control developer Remedy officially declared that it has agreed to a deal with Epic Games of two projects, and then, via the excellent second expansion of Control, the fan-favorite hero Alan Wake was re-introduced, which did create the story of both games together as part of a wider narrative universe of Remedy.

Jeff Grubb recently shared on Twitch that he had heard that Alan Wake 2 was one of the titles that included in the agreement with Epic Games. It was stated that it is working on a connected universe of video games, it will not be surprising to see a brand-new Alan Wake game will be announced given the new Control expansion.

“For over 10 years, we’ve had a crazy dream,” said Remedy creative director Sam Lake last year. “The idea that the tales told in some of our games would be connected to each other, a connected world of stories and events with shared characters and lore. Each game is a stand-alone experience, but each game is also a doorway into a larger universe with exciting opportunities for crossover events.”

At this point, Remedy has not officially declared anything regarding what kind of video games are part of the Epic Games deal. It is not confirmed that whether Alan Wake 2 is under development or not. The latest video game of the developer, Control is now available for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch as a cloud-based version.

What’s your opinion regarding Alan Wake 2 being a part of Remedy’s agreement with Epic Games? Do you want to see a sequel of the classic video game? Let us know in the comment section.
