Moreover, Jio is “comprehensively thinking” about releasing an operating system for televisions, according to Akash Ambani.

Reliance Jio will soon introduce AI-powered goods and services across its media, commerce, communication, and gadget businesses, according to Ambani.

The next ten years will be characterized by AI-powered applications, according to Ambani, who also stated that generative AI and large language models (LLMs) have “barely scratched” the surface of the developing field. AI, according to him, will “transform every area of products and services.”

Reliance and chip giant Nvidia first announced their collaboration in September with the goal of developing language models, generative AI applications, and cloud infrastructure platforms for AI development in South Asia. “Reliance will create AI applications and services for their 450 million Jio (telecom) customers and provide energy-efficient AI infrastructure to scientists, developers and startups across India,” Nvidia reportedly stated at the time.

The chairman of Reliance Jio outlined his future goals by stating that the telecom is aiming to introduce AI “horizontally” throughout its operating sectors in addition to vertically within the business. He mentioned Jio’s upcoming rollout of AI-powered goods and services for its media, commerce, communication, and gadgets businesses.

Throughout the address, he also demonstrated his faith in Jio’s upcoming 5G private network offering, stating that the company will provide a 5G stack to businesses of all sizes.

AI will revolutionize all product and service categories, according to Ambani, who also stated, “We are working very hard to launch AI not only as a vertical inside our organization but also horizontally across all our sectors.”
