The homegrown company Reliance Jio looks to be formidable in the Indian telecom sector as it was the only company as per the latest TRAI Subscription Report for October 2021 to gain wireless subscribers while all the major players are continuously losing subscribers.

Reliance Jio has gained over a whooping 17.6 lakh subscribers, & was the only operator to add subscribers while its arch-rival Airtel lost 4.8 lakh subscribers in the same period. The other two big players left in the race are steady in their form to lose more subscribers each month.

You guessed it right both, Vodafone Idea & BSNL lost 9.6 lakh & 0.2 lakh subscribers respectively and you can see most of them have opted for Reliance Jio. While its JioPhone Next was not a complete failure but will still lure some customers to opt for Jio in the first place.

Another forgotten PSU in the telecom sector MTNL has also lost 4,560 subscribers and the current market share of Jio stands at 36.58%, being the leader of the market. On the other hand, Airtel and VI stand at 30.35% and 23.07% market share respectively while BSNL is on the verge of falling behind the competition with only a 9.73% share.
