Following its successful global launch in Europe and the US last month, Redmi is now preparing to introduce its Redmi Pad SE tablet to the Chinese market. This affordable tablet, with a starting price of €199, captured attention abroad and is now ready to make its debut in Redmi’s home turf, China.
The Upcoming Redmi Pad SE
In a recent announcement on Weibo, Redmi has officially revealed that the Chinese version of the Pad SE tablet is scheduled to be unveiled on September 21, 2023, at 7 PM local time. Importantly, the teaser has confirmed key features of the tablet, including its 11-inch display, TUV Rheinland certification, and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. These specifications closely match those of the global version, indicating that the Chinese model will offer the same specifications as its international counterpart.
The Redmi Pad SE, as seen in the global model, features an 11-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, boasting a silky-smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 400 nits. It is also certified by TUV Rheinland for minimal blue light emissions, ensuring comfortable extended usage. The tablet comes equipped with a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera which can record 1080p video. When it comes to audio, the Pad SE has quad speakers, Dolby Atmos technology, and Hi-Res audio support, delivering an impressive audiovisual experience.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 680 processor and offers a choice of three RAM configurations: 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB. With a generous 128GB of storage and a microSD card slot for expansion, storage concerns are alleviated. The Redmi Pad SE has an 8,000mAh battery with 10W charging support and runs on MIUI Pad 14, based on Android 13, providing a user-friendly and feature-rich interface. In terms of connectivity, it offers WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
