Redmi has a significant launch event on the horizon, scheduled for next week. During this event, set to take place on September 21 in China, the company will introduce its new Redmi Note 13 series of smartphones. However, it has been confirmed that this won’t be the sole unveiling. Redmi is also preparing to introduce the Redmi Pad SE, a tablet that has already made its debut in global markets.
All About Redmi Pad SE
Redmi has shared an official launch poster for the Redmi Pad SE on its Weibo account. The poster reveals that this budget Android tablet is set to arrive in China on the same day as the Redmi Note 13 series, kicking off at 7 PM in the local time zone.
The promotional material showcases the tablet in three color variants: Mint Green, Lavender Purple, and Graphite Gray. Notably, the Redmi Pad SE is not entirely new, as it was previously introduced in Europe last month. Consequently, we already have comprehensive knowledge of its specifications and features.
The Redmi Pad SE features an 11-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels, 90Hz refresh rate, and TÃœV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light and Flicker Free. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset with Adreno 610 GPU and offers memory options of 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB RAM with 128GB expandable storage.
Running MIUI 14 based on Android 13, it boasts an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and an 8000mAh battery with 10W charging. The tablet supports face unlock, offers a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, and measures 255.5 × 167.1 × 7.4 mm, weighing 478 grams.
Additionally, it’s important to note that the same event will witness the unveiling of the Redmi Note 13 series. This series consists of three smartphones: the Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 Pro+. The Redmi Note 13 series is officially confirmed to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra, which is a 4nm octa-core processor comprising dual Cortex-A715 cores and six Cortex-A510 cores.
Notably, the lineup will include a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 Discovery Edition camera sensor featuring an f/1.65 aperture. Redmi is highlighting the provision of ultra-clear images, ultra-fast shooting, and optical-grade lossless zoom with this new image sensor. In terms of battery, the Redmi Note 13 and Redmi Note 13 Pro are rumored to come with a 5,120mAh battery and support 67W fast charging. On the other hand, the high-end Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is said to sport a 5,000mAh battery but will offer even faster 120W charging speeds.
