Xiaomi is gearing up to introduce its third tablet under the Redmi brand, the Redmi Pad Pro, in the Chinese market on April 10. Thus far, Xiaomi has only released two tablets under the Redmi name, namely the Redmi Pad and Redmi Pad SE, with only the former launching in India.

Although there’s no confirmation on whether the Redmi Pad Pro will debut in India, reports indicate that Poco may soon enter the global tablet market with a device likely to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Pad Pro.

The Upcoming Redmi Pad Pro

A teaser shared by Xiaomi on the Chinese social media platform Weibo confirms several features of the Redmi Pad Pro, including support for a stylus and Bluetooth keyboard. The tablet will come with a camera setup and will be offered in white, blue, and black color choices. The teaser also mentions the inclusion of a USB C port and a 3.5mm audio jack along with confirming that the tablet will run on HyperOS out of the box. The Redmi Pad Pro is scheduled for release alongside the Redmi Turbo 3 smartphone in China on April 10 as indicated by the teaser.

Before its launch, a recent leak revealed that the Redmi Pad Pro speculated to be the Poco tablet will feature a 12.1 inch LCD with 2.5K resolution, a 10,000 mAh battery capacity, and a 4nm chipset. There have been rumors circulating about a Poco tablet. A Poco tablet was previously seen on the EEC certification website. Considering that several recent Poco devices have been rebranded versions of Redmi products it’s reasonable to assume that the Redmi Pad Pro could be marketed as the Poco tablet.

In addition to this launch event, Poco is also working on an F series smartphone expected to be named Poco F6 – another rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 3 set to debut alongside the Redmi Pad Pro on April 10 in China. Hence it’s quite logical to anticipate the release of the Poco tablet, alongside the Poco F6 smartphone.

As for the launch schedule, there’s no word, from Poco at this moment. Yet given that the Poco F5 made its debut in India during May 2023 it seems plausible that both the Poco F6 and the Poco tablet could be introduced in India around May 2024.
