Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 14 Pro Series in China: Features, Specs, and Pricing Revealed

Xiaomi has taken the wraps off its new Redmi Note 14 Pro series in China today, including the models, the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+. Both devices have high-end specs and features that are targeted at improving the user experience, something that Redmi has long been known for making affordable smartphones that pack a hefty punch.

Although it is unclear when the new Redmi Note series will officially arrive in India, we expect them to make an appearance early next year just like the Redmi Note 13 series launched back in January 2024. Here’s a look at the pricing and specifications of the new Redmi Note 14 Pro models.

Redmi Note 14 Pro Series Launched

The Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2712×1220 pixels, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display achieves peak brightness levels of up to 3000 nits and is safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. For enhanced color accuracy, it includes a 12-bit color depth, along with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support.

Internally, the Redmi Note 14 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor, while the Pro+ model utilizes the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. Both versions come with options for up to 12GB and 16GB of RAM, and storage capacities ranging from 128GB to 512 GB. Furthermore, they run on Android 14 with Xiaomi’s new HyperOS, ensuring a seamless software experience.

For photography enthusiasts, both dual-SIM devices offer advanced camera systems. The Note 14 Pro has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera, complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro lens. In contrast, the Note 14 Pro+ features a 50MP main camera with Light Fusion technology and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), along with an 8MP ultra-wide and a 50MP portrait telephoto lens. Both models are equipped with a 20MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

On the durability front, both handsets have an IP66, IP68, and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C, and strong 5G and Wi-Fi 6 support as well. Both phones also feature large batteries, the Redmi Note 14 Pro comes with a 5500mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging; and the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ rocks a larger 6200mAh battery, that can be refilled at up to 90W for rapid recharges.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro is priced starting at 1499 yuan (around ₹17,870) and the Note 14 Pro+ starts at 1999 yuan (around ₹23,835) in China. Indian prices could be slightly higher, as witnessed with the Redmi Note 13 series.
